“The Benoni Northerns first hockey team and the Beer Mile organizers would like to thank everyone who came through to participate in the event.

“The support is greatly appreciated and there was a great turn out, with plenty of people willing to get involved.

“There was a fantastic vibe around the club and it seems that everyone who took part on the day thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

“The first team really pulled together nicely and by manning the event on the day we got in some worthwhile team building.

“Wives/girlfriends/sisters/moms’ of the players also need to be thanked for their support and all they did behind the scenes, on the day and in the build-up to the Beer Mile Challenge.

“A special thanks goes out to Rod Scheepers and his team at Benoni Northerns Sports Club for allowing us to host the event at the club.

“Finally, a thank you to Rowlin National Insurance Brokers for sponsoring the prize for the best dressed on the day.”
