The team, led by experienced skipper Dale Griffiths, played CBC Old Boys in what was an exciting East Rand hockey derby between the two clubs in the SGHA Premier Reserve League.
It was a tight tussle and an entertaining, back-and-forth game for the spectators.
Griffiths, David Fink and Michael Faulds scored goals for Benoni Northerns.
