EGU’s golden golfers

The Ekurhuleni Golf Union’s (EGU) u-19 boys and girls teams participated in a quadrangular tournament hosted at the Potchefstroom Golf Club on Sunday, April 30.

The winning u-19 boys’ team are Jack Turton (manager, left), Marco Massiceti (Glendower), Jordan Burnand (captain, Ebotse Links), Warwick Purchase (Ebotse Links), Yurav Premlall (Glendower), Nash de Klerk (Glendower), Liam van Deventer (Ebotse Links), Ryan van Velzen (Lake Club Benoni) and Louis Liebenberg (Germiston).

Unions represented were North West Province, Central Gauteng, Gauteng North and Ekurhuleni.

EGU walked away with the gold medals in both the boys’ u-19 as well as the girls’ u-19 tournaments.

The golden Ekurhuleni u-19 girls’ team are Teagan Lubbe (Benoni Country Club), Kiera Floyd (Ebotse Links), Carmen Taljaard (ERPM) and Sue Andrews (manager/president of EGU Women’s Golf).
