The team cantered to a 6-0 win over Corinthians in their Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) Super League clash at Northern Areas in a game which allowed van den Berg to blood some younger players.
“The opposition wasn’t the best so that suited us and afforded me the opportunity to try out some youngsters who stood up to the pressure,” said the coach.
The reserve team had a walk-over after their opponents could not field a full side.
BNFC were scheduled to play a tough Highlands Park outfit at Northerns on the night of Thursday, May 11, followed by another night time fixture away to Kempton Park on Tuesday, May 16.
