Diarise the date for the Benoni Derby

With just under a month to go until the biggest community football match on the East Rand, the Benoni Derby, local football lovers are encouraged to jot down Saturday, May 27 in their diaries.

The first Eastern Local Football Association league derby will be played between Benoni Northerns and Old Bens football clubs at Northern Areas.

The clubs’ reserve sides will kick-off at 1.45pm followed by the much-anticipated first team clash between the old rivals at 3.30pm.
