Bens’ women step up to the plate
Old Bens Football Club’s A and B women’s football teams beat some fierce competition throughout their recent season to end up playing each other, at Bonaero 74 Football Club, in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) plate final as rivals.
Both teams played with great skill in a game that proved to be highly entertaining and a model of sportsmanship.
Eventually, it was Old Bens’ A side that capitalised on their opportunities and, courtesy of a stellar performance from their goalkeeper, Tatum Vermeulen, walked away victorious with a 3-1 win.
