Gold for Garvies at Roof of Africa

Benoni brothers Robert (23) and Calvin Garvie (26) made good on their promise to finish the brutal Gold Class of the gruelling Roof of Africa in the rugged mountainous terrain of Lesotho, for the first time.

The race took place between November 30 and December 3.

Robert finished in 27th position overall and Calvin came in 35th overall in the blisteringly hot conditions.

The brothers live in Alphen Park.
