South African Ladies Country Districts tourney comes to town
The Eastern Gauteng Hockey Association (EGHA) will host their first accredited South African Hockey Association (SAHA) tournament, the South African Ladies Country Districts tournament, at the EGHA AstroTurf, from Sunday, July 3, to Friday, July 8.
The tournament is set to be a spectacle of women’s hockey and the EGHA is inviting all hockey lovers to come down and show their support over the course of the week.
On Sunday, spectators can enjoy all the fixtures, with the first match to be played between Eastern Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal Inlands, at 8am.
All games will be played from 8am to 5pm.
A beer tent will also be erected on Sunday, for revellers to enjoy.
Pool A will consist of Western Province, Northern Natal, Northern Blues A, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, while Pool B will consist of KZN Inlands, Eastern Province, Eastern Gauteng A, KZN Coastals, Northern Blues B and Eastern Gauteng B.
The EGHA Astro is situated at Benoni Northerns Sports Club.
