Hockey Players fly the Eastern Gauteng flag
The Eastern Gauteng Hockey Association (EGHA) held a cocktail function at Grapes Pub and Restaurant, in Western Extension, on the night of Friday, April 22.
The function was held to send off the EGHA men’s team, who did battle for the Eastern Gauteng region at the Greenfields Senior Inter-provincial Nationals (IPT), in Randburg, from April 25 to 30.
David Viney, former South African player and former assistant coach of the men’s national team, addressed those in attendance and wished the team well.
The following hockey players were selected to represent Eastern Gauteng: Rory Lester, Ryan Carter, Twayne Stewart, Ben Stuthridge, David Fink, Brett Grobler, Siyabonga Mabena, Njabula Shongwe, Kyle Cameron, Darren Ellis, Peter Tucker, Brandon Crockett, Jared Texeira, Grant Robins and Bradley Nunn.
