Diski display in Daveyton

Competitive and developmental reserve team football came to Daveyton’s Sinaba Stadium at the weekend, with some of the country's top young players showcasing their skills in four Multichoice Diski Challenge matches.

Entrance to the stadium was free and gave the football-hungry community of Daveyton the rare opportunity to witness feisty football in their own backyard.

In the two matches played on Saturday, November 14, Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Ajax Cape Town 4-2 in the early game and a 0-0 draw resulted between Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates in the afternoon.

On Sunday, November 15, Free State Stars emerged as 1-0 victors over Jomo Cosmos, followed by the same score line in favour of SuperSport United over Kaizer Chiefs, in the afternoon.

Sundowns top the table on goal difference over Arrows, with the challenge resuming on January 16, next year.
