Points shared after Sunday washout
Benoni Northerns Cricket Club’s (BNCC) Sunday senior teams all received rain draw points after Sunday’s wet weather forced the teams to abandon their matches on Sunday, November 23.
Northerns’ Premier XI travelled to United Cricket Club in Brakpan and played just 1.1 overs before the heavens opened, while BNCC’s Premier Reserve team’s match against Springs Old Boys, at Northern Areas, was called off without a ball being bowled.
The club’s Directors’ Team’s fixture against CBC Old Boys was also called off.
A mouthwatering Eastern Premier League encounter between fierce rivals Northerns and Kempton Park Cricket Club is scheduled for this Sunday, November 30, and BNCC captain Kurt Francis will be hoping his men can pull off the same heroics that helped the team win their last two clashes in Kempton.
He will also be hoping that the rainy weather stays away for this one.
The first delivery is expected to be bowled at 9.30am.
