All-out boxing action

The event took place at Emperors Palace and tournament-goers were treated to an evening of punches, thrills and knockouts.

The bout list consisted of local and international boxers, such as South African’s Ryno Liebenberg, Hekkie Budler and Uganda’s Joey Vegas.

The results are:

• Featherweight – four rounds: Phumudzo Monyai (RSA) vs Ricardo Hiraman (RSA). The bout was won by Hiraman through a TKO one minute and four seconds into the third round.
• Junior Flyweight – six rounds: Sibusiso Twani (RSA) vs Thabang Ramagole (RSA). The bout was won by Twani in the sixth round with a score of 57, 57, 57. Ramagole scored 56, 56, 56.
• Junior Welterweight – six rounds: Jeff Otembio (RSA) vs Adam de Moor (RSA). The fight was won in the sixth round by de Moor with a score of 59, 60, 58. Otembio scored 54, 52, 54.
• WBC Super International Light Heavyweight title – 12 rounds: Wilbeforce Shihepo (Namibia) vs Johnny Muller (RSA). The bout was won in the 12th round by Muller, with a score of 113, 116, 116. Shihepo scored 114, 113, 114.
• WBA/IBO Strawweight World title – 12 rounds: Karluis Diaz (Columbia) vs Hekkie Budler (RSA). The fight was won by Budler in the first round, when he knocked out Diaz two minutes and 29 seconds into the fight.
• WBC Gold International Light Heavyweight title – 12 rounds: Joey Vegas (Uganda) vs Ryno Liebenberg (RSA). The bout was won by Liebenberg, in the first round, through a TKO after two minutes and 56 seconds.
