India to play SA Invitation XI in Benoni
The Bizhub Highveld Lions’ opening batsman, Stephen Cook, will lead a South African Invitation XI against India, in a two-day tour match at Sahara Park Willowmoore, in Benoni, on December 14 and 15.
Vinnie Barnes will coach the SA Invitation XI, which includes some of the country’s upcoming cricketers and those that have been performing in the opening few games of the recent Sunfoil Series.
The players from the South African Invitation XI to play India are Stephen Cook (captain), Temba Bavuma, Andrew Birch, Simon Harmer, Beuran Hendricks, Reeza Hendricks, Eddie Leie, Chris Morris, Rilee Rossouw, Yaseen Vallie, Stiaan van Zyl, Dane Vilas and Hardus Viljoen.
Coach: Vinnie Barnes, and assistant coach: Geoffrey Toyana.
The game will start at 10am on both days and parking facilities will be available at the back of the stadium (access from Tom Jones Street).
