Blitzbowls launched at Munies
Blitzbowls was launched on Sunday, September 8, at Benoni Municipals Bowls Club with a small but enthusiastic crowd of new and existing bowlers enjoying a lovely Highveld spring morning.
Bowls were provided to new bowlers and coaching offered to those who arrived earlier for that purpose.
As planned, play started at 10am to allow for a bit of shopping and/or church beforehand, and ended at noon.
After play everybody gathered at the club facilities and many bowlers stayed on to socialise until the early afternoon.
Blitzbowls is offered every Sunday morning from 10am to noon with tabs in at 9.50am but club members are available from 9am to show new bowlers the ropes.
The club is situated next to Willowmoore Park cricket stadium and offers secure parking.
Come as you are.
The only requirement is flat soled shoes.
A special invitation is extended to families to spend a few hours.
