Benoni Lions Club president Tina Strachan writes:
We would like to express our thanks to all the kind, generous readers who have been able to support our fund-raising initiatives, whether it’s financial or moral support, throughout the uncertainty and fears that we have all endured since March last year.
Many donors in the area have remained anonymous and we wish to use your publication to let them all know that despite the many challenges, we have been blessed.
We can continue with some service projects throughout the entire time from level give through to the present level one.

We took advantage of intermittent periods where we were able to do a little bit of fund-raising when we able to do so in relative safety.
The result is that our coffers are low now and we hope the readers will continue to help us to help others.
Winter is fast approaching and we are in great need of winter clothing, especially children’s clothing, beanies, blankets.
