Letter: Discipline your children or leave them at home

It is not the responsibility of the store or the clients to look after your children.

Sally Grant writes:

One Saturday morning recently, I needed to go to my cellphone provider in Lakeside Mall to sort out a few problems on my phone.

While talking to a consultant, this small boy (about four years old) ran straight into my legs.

Then after I was told to go upstairs to the technician, the same child was lying halfway up on the staircase causing me to have to sidestep.

After about five minutes of waiting in the queue, I noticed the same child hanging from the stairs halfway up.

From there it proceeded to who could get onto the high stool first as his brother was also trying.

These two children were screaming and running around the store like they were at a playground.

To this father, who was too busy getting his new phone, if your children cannot behave, then they should either be left at home with their mother or disciplined.

It was nerve-racking to watch what your youngest was up to.
