On Saturday evening (January 27) I drove to fetch my mom from a birthday party.

On my way home at about 9.30pm, I decided to turn down Miles Sharp Street from O’Reilly Merry Street.
While approaching the first speed bump just before the church, I heard a loud bang and realised that someone had thrown a rock at my window.
I didn’t see the person as it was very dark on the side by the veld.
Luckily, my window didn’t break and I kept driving.
I don’t know if this was an attempt at a hijacking or robbery, or if it was children getting up to mischief; regardless, I wouldn’t have stopped even if my window had been broken.
Be extra vigilant when driving at night.
