Articles have helped many

Denise Heatlie, of GriefShare, writes:

In response to the #knowyourbenoni interview which was recently published in the City Times, I wish to thank the newspaper for their support in including the various articles on GriefShare, and in the ‘What’s On’ column.

The result of these articles has brought an encouraging awareness of, and the value of, attending a GriefShare series after the death of a loved one.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one

A number of folk have subsequently joined the three groups currently running at the Northfield Methodist and Benoni Central Methodist churches.

A comment from one of our new group members this week was, “I don’t know how I would have managed without GriefShare”.

Even though the 13-week series is already in progress, people are welcome to begin attending at any point.

Each of the weekly sessions is “self-contained”, covering a different topic of grief, so one does not have to attend in sequence.

There is also an opportunity for people to pick up on any sessions missed in a subsequent 13-week cycle.
