Cyclists, please think car and ride in single file

I often see cars with signs saying, “Think bike – 1.5m space”, which is good advice.

The problem comes when cyclists don’t respect that advice themselves.

After coming across pelotons twice this weekend and getting stuck behind them at 30/kph, it’s no wonder that I felt frustrated.

Fortunately, I was able to pass both safely, but accidents can happen so easily.

So cyclists, if you wish to stay safe on the roads, then please respect your own advice and give motorists the 1.5m you recommend by riding in single file. It may be much less fun, but it is a whole lot safer.
