On Friday just before noon I entered the Netcare Linmed Hospital and passed a mother who was poking at and verbally abusing her beautiful daughter of about 10 in the passage to the doctors’ rooms.

The poor girl had no choice but to endure her mother’s bad behaviour.

Many people have had to leave a hospital forever without their loved ones.

To that mom on Friday I’d like to say: cherish yours while you can.
