Drivers fail to stop

On February 6 I left my house and quickly went to the butchery on O’Reilly Merry Street.

At the stop street on the corner of Oak and Stokroos streets, two cars did not even slow down at the stop street.

On the way back a truck also went straight through the stop street; the driver too busy on his cellphone to even notice me.

I have sent the company that owns the truck an email, but I am doubtful that I will get a response.

I live near the stop street on the corner of Stokroos and Wattle streets in Northmead, and it is scary how many drivers do not stop at this stop sign either.

I have tried to get someone at metro to come and trap there, but more than a year later I have yet to see any response.

This stop street is just around the corner from a primary school, where my son was almost knocked over because a driver did not want to wait for the car in front who was allowing my son to cross the street.

I do not know what else to do.

My son is not the only child who has to cross the road at this stop street and I am concerned.

This problem is getting worse by the day.

Just to give you an idea, this road sees at least 100 cars per day and on average maybe 20 people stop.

While I have been typing this email to you about 10 cars and a truck have come past my house and only three of them have stopped properly.

Is there any way we can get the metro to put permanent traps up here?

I promise they will make plenty money.
