Goose swallows entire piece of plastic

We recently fed bread to the ducks and geese at Homestead Dam.

One goose started chewing on a piece of plastic the size of a ruler.

It then proceeded to swallow the entire piece of plastic.

It happened so fast.

I really didn’t think the goose would swallow the entire piece.

I feel so sorry for the animal.

I don’t know what will happen to him now.

We really need to put up a warning against litter via the Benoni City Times Facebook page, or erect a warning sign at the dam.

Perhaps the police will get involved.

I wish they would impose penalties on those who litter.
