On Wednesday, last week, I went to a photo shop at Lakeside Mall to have some photos developed.
Later that evening I realised that I couldn’t find my camera bag, with my camera, that I had recently bought.
I rushed back to the shop, but I hadn’t left it there.
I remembered that the only other shop I had been to was Checkers.
My immediate reaction was that if that was the case, I would never see my camera again. However, I went to the manager’s office and asked whether a camera bag had been handed in.
The woman turned around, reached behind her and handed me my camera bag with my camera intact.
I wish to apologise for my lack of faith in their integrity and offer my grateful thanks to the Checkers management and staff and whoever handed in my camera bag.
I appreciate it so much.
I definitely will be shopping there in future!
The next thank you goes to the Benoni police officers.
I had to rely on their services twice last week, once on Sunday evening, when they came to my home and then again on Friday, when I went to the police station with a more serious issue.
The station commander attended to my problem personally.
He listened patiently to the details and immediately began the investigation.
I had to return in the afternoon to complete the paperwork, but it was sorted out in an efficient and professional manner.
Everyone was courteous and helpful and a fairly traumatic issue was resolved successfully.
My faith in humanity has been restored. Thank you to you all.
