Our own Hall of Horrors

Peter Bachtis writes by email:

Travelling to London to visit Madame Tussauds is no longer necessary.

On Prince’s Avenue exists our very own Hall of Horrors, where visitors can observe man’ s inhumanity to the environment.

The once pristine town hall, now hidden behind offensive concrete pillars, stands out like a beacon of shame for all to see.

The once immaculate lawns are now overgrown with weeds.

The pavements are unkempt and bottles, cans, garbage, and common litter are everywhere.

The question is, do we have a department within Ekurhuleni which is meant to take care of such buildings?

I think there is, but the management could not care less and this is obvious for all to see.

I nominate Mary Goby to go in and rattle those individuals, because clearly it requires a strong-willed and committed individual to get the job done.
