I wish to thank the Benoni City Times for publishing my letter on August 29.
I also wish to thank the Metro Police for their presence this week, outside Wordsworth School, stopping the drivers who were travelling up the one-way during school hours and fining them.
Their presence on Wednesday, September 10, was noted and appreciated (there were more than 10 police officers in and around Wordsworth Road).
The traffic flow was fantastic and the students appeared to be more disciplined as well, crossing at the zebra crossing.
I just hope that this continues and that the police periodically make their presence known at the school, in order to keep motorists aware of the rules of the roads during school hours.
