Chess players make winning moves

The school’s u15 qualified to compete at district level.

Following their sterling performances at previous league tournaments, Benoni High School’s U15 girls' chess team qualified to play in the district chess high school girls’ final tournament, at Edenglen High School. The Swiss format was used throughout the tournament consisting of five rounds at a rate of play 60/60. Seen here are Katleho Ramaela, Zukiswa Nkuka, Makanaka Rwodzi, Stephanie Geral (MIC); Kamogelo Mokatse; Tanique Groepe and Kayleigh Wasserman. Absent: Zaynab Ely.
