GETA hosts national tournaments

“It was inspiring to see the determination and skills of all the players.”

Karen McRae, chairperson of the Gauteng East Tennis Association (GETA) juniors’ tennis, said GETA was honoured to host the South African Schools Sports Championship winter games from July 3 to 6. Schools from across the country attended.

GETA also hosted the Gauteng East leg of the Tennis South Africa Super 8 tournament last week, which drew South Africa’s top U16 and open-division players.

“Over the past two weeks, we hosted three great juniors tournaments. It was inspiring to see the determination and skills of these players. It brought exposure to tennis,” she said.
