ICYMI: Possible water interruptions due to Rand Water maintenance
Benoni is expected to be without water for 24 hours, from tonight.
The metro is reminding Benoni residents to be patient during Rand Water’s planned maintenance, tonight (July 11) from 19:00 to 19:00 tomorrow (July 12).
This will result in water outage in some parts of Benoni including Northmead, Farrarmere, Brentwood Park, Goedeburg, Rynfield, Ebotse, Tamboville, Wattville, Actonville, Benoni CBD and Lakefield.
According to metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, to mitigate the effect of the water interruption, the city will provide roving water tankers to the affected areas.
“The restoration of water supply will be dependent on the reservoir levels at the Benoni reservoirs which are supplied from a system where maintenance will be conducted,” explained Dlamini.
