Slobbery kisses and wagging tails greeted Ward 27 Clr Lornette Joseph and Super Cops when they delivered bakkie loads of donations to The Animal Guardians (TAG) on June 6.
At the beginning of May, Joseph and Lionel Marks of Super Cops once again joined forces to collect much-needed food and blankets during its annual winter drive for TAG.
“The response from the community was exceptional with donations streaming at the collection point in O’Reilly Merry Street,” said Joseph.
“Animal lovers and members of the community went above and beyond to contribute to the cause, ensuring that animals in TAG’s care are not only well fed but have snug blankets as well as some new toys.”
TAG’s Annie Jungmann thanked everyone involved as well as the community for their generous support
“It is through your continued support that we are able to provide a safe and loving haven for these animals,” she said.
A donation of R1 000 was handed over to Jungmann.
