Benoni High School learner and talented baseball player Mia Cloete (Grade Nine) recently secured a win for her B division National Baseball Championships (NBC) U18 ladies team.
She is the team’s lead pitcher.
The championships were recently hosted in Boksburg and saw the team facing off against both male and female teams.
She was further selected to represent the U15 boys’ team as the top pitcher for the tournament side.
She went on to receive one of 30 black SA caps for the age groups U12 to U18.
Currently, the lead pitcher for the SA U16 ladies squad, she will be receiving elite squad letters for both U15 boys and U18 ladies.
