Join Benoni Camera Club

They meet on the first Wednesday of the month at Northfield Methodist Church.

Are you always the one snapping pics at family gatherings? Are you considering a career in photography?

If so, look no further than the Benoni Camera Club.

They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Northfield Methodist Church at 19:00, and new members are always welcome.

The club is holding its AGM on March 1 to elect a new committee.

Meetings consist of the submission and judging of photos entered for the month in various categories, refreshments and the announcement of winners.

Secretary Linda Stedman said the club is a great avenue for youngsters who want a career in photography.

“We would love new prospective members to attend, especially youngsters. We have members who present photographic classes for a living and can assist all photographers, whether they are interested in photography for career-orientated reasons or just as a hobby.

“New to the committee this year are two portfolios – training and outings. Going on outings serves as training.

They are run by a photographer from one of the clubs with knowledge of what’s on offer for that outing, for example, landscape, motorsport, air shows,” Linda explained.
