A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his partner of 13 years to death, at their home in Crystal Park, on January 30.
Three other men, including a traditional healer, were also arrested.
Crystal Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mopeli confirmed a woman died after she was stabbed in the upper body, allegedly by her partner, following an argument.
The man then allegedly then took her vehicle and withdrew money from her bank accounts.
The woman’s two children and her mother were in the home at the time of the incident.
“During investigations, a tracking company located the suspect and three other men in a veld in Kliprivier.
“One of the men, identified as a traditional healer, was alleged to conduct a cleansing ceremony,” said Mopeli.
The police recovered the deceased’s vehicle, bank cards and cash.
The four have been charged with murder and have appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court.
Mopeli has urged victims of domestic violence to report crimes committed against them at the Crystal Park SAPS.
