Learners unite against bullying

Communication is key when addressing incidents of bullying.

Spark Rynfield, recently stood united against bullying committing to be the Spark and not the bully.
All the schools within the Spark-group stood united for the cause dressing green and displaying placards showing their commitment.

According to Nkazimulo Zitha of Spark, social and emotional development plays a significant role in children reaching their potential.

“Bullying is one experience that can have a significant negative impact on a child’s well-being,” she said.

“According to a 2021 study more than 58% of South African scholars had encountered some form of bullying, including cyberbullying, which has become increasingly common.”

She continues by saying that it is parents and teachers’ responsibility, to educate and prevent scholars from being victims or perpetrators of bullying.
