Local artist tells his story through hip-hop

Thabo realised he had dedication for music at the age of 12

Upcoming Daveyton hip-hop artist Thabo Ndata, known as Monster Tee to his fans, is gradually making his name known in the music industry.

The 20-year-old, who also does soul trap music, said his music connects with his soul and that makes it easy for him to tell his stories.

“I started writing music at a young age and Daveyton is where my music dreams manifested.

“At the age of 17, is when I discovered myself as an artist and the community started to recognise me. I even got nominated for best newcomer in the Daveyton awards in 2017,” said Thabo.

He said his journey was at its peak in 2019 when he signed with Young Stunna and Swerve at Hella Krazie Entertainment.

“I decided to go solo in 2020 up to now and it has been an amazing journey ever.

“I’m currently working on an EP which is set to come later this year. It is a great piece of work people should anticipate.”

Monster Tee mentioned that he was invited by Channel O to perform on a show called Freestyle Friday two months back.

“I’m looking forward to working with big artists such as A-Reece, Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest and many more.

“My family have been supportive, they always hype me up to do more and never give up on my dreams.”
