In Pictures: The Tommy Malone Race

A total of 523 runners took part in the 15km while 40 tackled the 5km fun run.

Around 563 runners of all fitness levels laced up their running shoes and took part in the Tommy Malone Memorial Race at Boksburg City Stadium on October 13 to honour the late Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) stalwart Tommy Malone.

Kabelo Mwahla won the men’s race in 49:00, ahead of runner-up Kopano Muso (49:39) and third placed Bright Mikolongwe (50:51).

Lauren Quinn was on incredible form to clinch victory in the women’s race in 59:59. Pamela Gwebu (01:05:01) came second while Lauren Dance (01:06:29) rounded-up the podium.

Kai Hattingh and Nkateko Khoza walked away with the women’s and men’s 5km fun run titles.

The Daveyton Hearts was also represented.
