Art event sculpts young minds

The learners explored the magical world of art and literature through interactive storytelling and hands-on craft activities.

Kiddies Art Development, an NPO in Springs, recently hosted an engaging art and literature event at the Khanyisa Lifestyle Resort in Putfontein to spark creativity and imagination in young minds.

This fun-filled day brought together learners from Baikagetse and Kangaroo primary schools, the Jehovah Shammah School, the Great Expectation Day Care and the Kwa-Thema Hostel Pre-School.

The learners explored the magical world of art and literature through interactive storytelling sessions, hands-on craft activities, music and dance.

Caroline Nonyane, the organisation’s director, thanked all the schools participating in the event.

The NPO invite primary schools (grades three and four) to participate in their upcoming Kiddies Arts Competition, which will take place on October 18.

Nonyane said the Department of Arts and Culture will support the event. The competition categories are music (choir), dance, visual art and poetry.

To enter, call Nonyane on 078 648 1597 or email kiddiesadevents91@gmail.com. Entries are open until October 4.
