LETTER: Heart condition? He has no heart!

Email your Letter to the Editor to benonicitytimes@caxton.co.za.

Shayne Botha writes:

I am a Benoni resident and I am horrified of the treatment that Lagrange applied to his dog, Buddy.
No one has any right to treat an animal so badly.

Lagrange then has the audacity to ask for leniency. He deserves to be behind bars for what he did.

Many people are behind bars who have heart conditions, serious ailments and diabetes.

Insulin can be administrated from behind bars.

Why should he have any special treatment? Six medical tablets for his heart, what a load of nonsense.
He doesn’t have a heart if he goes around strangling animals. Any person who has done wrong is a very suitable candidate for imprisonment.

Lagrange can appeal his sentence all he wants. Who does he think he is?
The cruelty of Buddy is unforgivable.

Lagrange says he was disciplining Buddy, what nonsense. He also states that he is elderly at 63 – nonsense, he is not old.
I am 68 years old and certainly not old. Ninety and upwards is.

I hope that the appeal board sticks to their guns and puts him behind bars where he belongs. He is a disgrace to humanity and shame on him.
