Following a successful cross-country season, Laerskool Baanbreker Grade Seven learner Kai Hattingh began her post-winter season with a win at the Ultimate Fast Challenge at Kolonade Retail Park in Montana, Pretoria on August 31. The Nedbank RC athlete, formerly a Benoni Northerns Athletic Club (BNAC) runner, never relinquished the lead after getting out of the blocks to win the girls’ 5km race. Her father Frikkie said he is proud of the runner and happy with how she ran in Pretoria.
