Lenasia team wins APL T20

They reached their target inside 19 overs to win by three wickets.

Lenasia side T and B claimed a three-wicket win against Roshnee to clinch the Caeser Matches Actonville Premier League (APL) T20 tournament at Lords Cricket Ground on August 25.

Batting first, Roshnee was restricted to 147/6 in their 20 overs. In response, T and B posted 151/7, reaching their target with three balls to spare.

Gulam Bodi was named the player of the tournament and the finals MVP, while Shahida Jada clinched the best bowler award. Pranav Kumar Raicjetti clinched the best batsman and Shaveer Khan was named the all-rounder of the competition.

The tournament included teams from Bakerton, Fordsburg, Mayfair, Roshnee, Middelburg, Bedfordview and Lenasia.

The hosts, Actonville Spurs Cricket Club, thanked the tournament sponsors and the teams that participated in the tournament.

“Our junior age groups are from U8, U10, U12 to U14.”
