CPF members better protected

The vests valued at R8 000 each is an investment in the sector’s ongoing efforts to curb crime.

Kim Morrow, chairperson of the Benoni CPF Sector 1, could hardly contain her excitement as she received two new bulletproof vests to add to their list of resources.

Despite her small stature, the dynamic leader received the donation from 4Warn Security’s area manager Kevin Pauley and operations manager Amiel Maritz.

“We are inspired by the tireless efforts of the CPF and its members in safeguarding and assisting the community at large,” said Pauley.

“Based in Fairleads, we are deeply entrenched in serving the community and hope that this donation will assist in keeping the members safe while they selflessly patrol the streets.”

Marrow thanked the company for the valuable donation saying that many do not realise what a huge impact the vests will have on the work members voluntarily commit to.

“This is huge. Patrollers often find themselves in dangerous situations but these vests will offer them a greater sense of security,” she said while proudly donning one of the vests.

“We are grateful that industry professionals acknowledge our efforts but support us in our continued work in fighting crime.”
