Entities recognise, award environmental activists

The event honoured the unsung heroines of the agricultural world.

In a gesture of gratitude and empowerment, Miss Eco Teen International, Enhle Mdakane, and the Etwatwa Greening Team celebrated National Women’s Day on August 9 by recognising environmental activists at Barcelona Primary School in Daveyton.

Enhle said she decided to use her platform to honour outstanding female farmers based in Daveyton by presenting them with awards.

“These women are the queens of our land, and their tireless efforts towards sustainable farming deserve to be appreciated. No one ever gets poor by giving, so I was happy to give,” she said.
