Art lovers are invited to the 14th annual Art Alive exhibition

Attendees can enjoy hearty soup, bonfires, wine and live music.

It’s that time of year again for the annual Art Alive exhibition, taking place at the Art Alive Art School in Northmead from July 30 to August 3.

Working with important role players in the Benoni community including the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora, and members of Clean Projects, the event is set to be bigger this year.

The art event will showcase work from 10 Art Alive Art School teachers, over 80 learners from the prestigious art school, as well as guest artist Mike Wald.

Each year Art Alive students create and donate what has become a popular attraction – charity squares.

These are smaller paintings (20cmx 20cm) which are sold at R250 each or three for R600. All proceeds from these sales go towards helping Rotary and Clean Projects with the community initiatives they implement.

Attendees can enjoy hearty soup, bonfires, wine and live music which all is included in the ticket price.

On July 30 to August 2, the exhibition will run from 15:00 to 22:00 and on August 3 from 10:00 to 22:00.

Tickets are R80 and can be bought by contacting Larry member of the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora on 082 443 2546, Alison (Clean Projects) on 083 497 0610 or Elaine (Art Alive Art School) on 084 581 6340.
