Day of prayer planned at high accident zone

The public is urged to avail themselves for the prayer, which will take less than 30 minutes,

In response to the recent surge in traffic accidents in Daveyton, Pastor Khaya Mnyanda has proposed a day of prayer aimed at bringing cleansing and divine intervention for safety, particularly on the corner of Kingsway Road and DM Mthimunye Street (Daveyton entrance).

The day of prayer is scheduled for July 25 at 12:00.

The proposal comes amidst growing concerns over the number of accidents at this intersection.

Pastor Mnyanda said he believes that collective prayer can make a significant impact in addressing these issues to ensure the well-being of the community.

Pastor Khaya Mnyanda points at the high accident zone and prayer meet point.

“We cannot ignore the pain and loss that accidents bring to our community. As people of faith, we have a responsibility to support one another and to seek God’s protection over our roads.

“We are also concerned about people jaywalking in this danger zone and learners who cross the road to and from school during peak hours,” said Mnyanda.

The prayer day will include prayers for the safety of drivers, comfort for those who have lost their loved ones in accidents and strength for emergency responders who deal with the aftermath of accidents.

Mnyanda encourages all members of the community to participate in the day of prayer, regardless of their religious affiliation.

“The public is urged to join us for prayer, which will take less than 30 minutes,” said Mnyanda.
