In celebration of International Nurses Day (May 12), The Benoni City Times asked the nursing staff at Life The Glynnwood what they wished their patients knew about them.
Sister Nicole Curtis: We face daily struggles, too. Although we do our utmost to separate our professional and personal lives, sometimes our hearts are heavy.
Sister Elizabeth Mohloba: I am a nurse of passion. This is my life, not simply a career choice. In my free time, I can be found cooking and baking in the kitchen.
Nico Khoza: I have a five-year-old son. I barely see him when he is awake. My day starts before he wakes and ends when he is already tucked into bed.
Sister Joy Wleh: I am a passionate home cook and find joy in creating delicious meals, but healthcare is my first love. I strive to serve from the heart.
David Tsiane: I am a family man and a proud father of four children. When not at a patient’s bedside, I do my best to be the best parent possible.
