Muso hopes single inspires those going through grief

The song is available on all digital platforms.

Daveyton musician Mduduzi Mahlangu has released a single titled Less Friends More Bands.

The muso said the song is based on events that happened in his life and inspired by the people he has lost in his life, including his mom.

“After losing my mom, I noticed that not everyone will help you like you help them. So having less meant less drama and more peace in my life,” he said.

Mduduzi ‘Mjay Ranks’ Mahlangu.

Mjay Ranks, as he is affectionately known, explained he dedicates the song to everyone going through grief and hopes it will help him connect with his fans more.

“Less Friends More Bands outlines having fewer friends is a blessing than having a bunch of friends that will not be there in times of need.”

The song is taken from the muso’s upcoming offering titled Skyfall features several local artists, including King Grizzy.

“My biggest inspiration is becoming a student of life and to never stop learning, which is a message my fans can expect to find in the song.”
