Dawson Ellis and Phillip Bennett won the Benoni Open Sailing Regatta at Homestead Dam on February 24 and 25.
Ellis obtained pole position in the junior fleet category, beating last year’s winner Maximillan Malan, who settled for the second spot. Mika Malan completed the top three.
Bennett beat defending champion Leon de Raay to win the senior fleet category. Duncan Hawkswork finished in second place while De Raay, who won two successive titles (2022 and 2023) completed the top three.
