In need of love? The Animal Guardians’ (TAG) kennels are filled to capacity with wet-nosed canines waiting to decorate your furniture with fur and fill your home with love.

From January 14 to February 14, 17 animals have been successfully rehomed.

The former furry TAG friends are now part of loving families.

Let’s hear it for Mr Personality, Kenzo. With a boisterous twinkle in his eye and sassy wag of his tail, this fox terrier-cross has won the hearts of many admirers.

Granny D, is a senior Boerboel-cross looking for a quiet home, where she can stretch out in a sunny spot to listen to the tranquil chirp of birds.

With the increase of load-shedding the organisation is in desperate need of a solar geyser to ensure that its pawsome pals can enjoy luxuriously warm baths.

Living up to her name, Lady is a gentle dachshund-cross with eyes that will melt your heart. The young lass loves running and playing with bigger breeds. She is instinctively not fond of cats.

• Stop the itch
Is your doggie itchy and scratchy?

It is flea season, but fear not citronella, eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree and rosemary are natural repellents.

Dilute a couple of drops of one of these essential oils in 300 to 400ml of water and gently spray on your beloved pooch.

For bedding, carpets and furniture mix four litres vinegar, two litres of water, 500ml lemon juice and 250ml witch hazel.

Using a spray bottle spray areas where fleas may be lurking.
