Full marks for Ashton

The school achieved a 100% pass rate and 91% bachelor's pass.

Ashton International College achieved 100% pass rate and 91% of the learners obtained a bachelor’s pass.

Two learners obtained seven distinctions while two received six. Three received five and five got four distinctions.

The top achiever was Sydney Stuart, who received the outstanding achievement for being in the top 5% of learners in six or more subjects and achieving a rating of seven in life orientation in National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination.

SEVEN: Micaela de Freitas (accounting, Afrikaans, English, geography, life orientation, mathematics and physical science).

She obtained distinctions in Afrikaans, English, geography, life orientation, life sciences, maths and physical science and 78% for further studies mathematics.

Stuart was also in the top one per cent nationally for geography (89%), life sciences (93%) and physical science (94%).

SIX: Alyssa Dawdutt (accounting, Afrikaans, English, life orientation, life sciences and mathematics).
SIX: Amanda du Preez (accounting, Afrikaans, business studies, English, geography and life orientation).

Michaela de Freitas obtained seven distinctions in accounting, Afrikaans, English, geography, life orientation, maths and physical science.

Principal Lynne Felix and her staff congratulated the learners.
