Baseball qualifier to be held in Boksburg

The U15 qualifier was cancelled.

South African Baseball now turns its attention to the U23 WBSC Africa Championship happening at the Boksburg Cardinals Baseball Club from February 21 to 27.

The championship is a qualifier for the WBSC U23 Baseball World Cup that will take place in Shaoxing, China, from September 6 to 15.

South African Baseball president Marc Moreau stated, “We are thrilled to host these international showpieces and are proud that the World Baseball and Softball Confederation has entrusted the event to South Africa.

“Undoubtedly, the U23 qualifying Cardinals will prove to be an enormous crowd attraction, with the Cardinals having successfully hosted the South African National Baseball Championships (NBC) early last year.”

Since no countries other than SA entered the U15 qualifier that would take place at the Cardinals from January 10 to 15, it has been cancelled.
