LETTER: Pink-flower lady, you made my day!

Your actions brought a smile to my face.

Clarice Davies, Benoni, writes:
After a particularly difficult week of enduring appalling customer service, I stopped in at the Engen service station in Great North Road to grab a bite to eat.

My spirits were low due to external factors, and I felt rushed and deflated.

At the food counter, a lovely lady approached me and handed me a bouquet of exquisite pink roses.

Placing the flowers in my hands, she said that I looked beautiful in my pink outfit and deserved the flowers to complement my look.

I was distracted by the cashier to pay for my order and when I turned to thank the flower-bearing angel; she had already left the shop.

That was the kindest gesture I have ever received and feel awful that I could not properly thank her.

Your beautiful act filled my heart, and I am so grateful.

Thank you for bringing a terrible week to such an awe-inspiring close.
